Anchor Boys have enjoyed a range of activities in the last few weeks across a number of different themes.
Right at the start of the month we hosted our Halloween fancy dress party with boys sporting all manner of scary costumes and taking part in a host of traditional games from pass the parcel and musical chairs to dooking for apples.
That was followed by a fireworks-themed evening to mark bonfire night, with boys making their Guy Fawkes masks before venturing outside to enjoy some sparklers.
We very much welcomed the chance to the join the older sections for the first Service for Uniformed Organisations of the session, and in particular the march past at the end of the service.
The following week, we joined with Junior Section for a trip to Bearsden Ski Centre where boys tried out tubing, sliding on inflatable rubber rings. The rain didn’t deter the boys who had a great time on the slope.
There’s plenty planned between now and the festive season, including a pantomime trip to the King’s Theatre, before we end the year with our Christmas Party on 19 December.
