Anchor Section – April 2026

Anchor Boys enjoyed the chance to join with older age groups at the Service for Uniformed Organisations held during March, and they especially enjoyed the march past afterwards. Thanks go to everyone who attended.

Recent meetings on Friday nights have seen boys exploring a wide variety of themes, many of which have focused on dates in the calendar.

The arrival of Chinese New Year towards the end of February gave us the chance to explore some of the customs of the occasion, and for boys to make their own paper dragons.

That was followed by World Book Day in early March during which we read some stories and completed some activities based on the books of Julia Donaldson.

Ahead of the Service for Uniformed Organisations, boys had the chance to take a look around the sanctuary and completed a picture quiz seeing how many things they could find during their tour, and most recently we had a pirate-themed evening with a range of games and crafts.

There will be more activities after the Easter holidays as we move towards the end of the Anchor Boys session in May.
