Junior Section has had a busy and enjoyable month, with a mix of competitions and special activities.
At the start of March, six of our boys travelled to take part in the BB Glasgow Battalion figure marching competition, jointly organised and hosted by BB Paisley. The team – Callum, Ethan, Jamie, Forbes, Ronan and Isaac – performed very well and were delighted to win the Glasgow competition against strong opposition from across the city.
We also had eight boys competing in the District Ten-Pin Bowling competition a few days later, with a special mention to Callum who finished third in the senior age group.
Four boys – Callum, Craig, Ethan and Aaron – represented us in the District General & Bible Knowledge Quiz in mid-March, putting in a strong performance as Callum, Craig and Ethan finished as runners-up out of seven teams.
It was also good to see such a strong turnout at the uniformed organisations’ service, where the boys took part in worship and the march past.
Looking ahead, we will be hosting the District figure marching event for local Companies in the west end at the end of the month. After that, Junior Section will take a break over the Easter holidays before returning to prepare for our Annual Inspection & Display on Friday, May 15th.
