As the Easter holidays draw to a close we are into the final few weeks of the Anchor Boy session before we finish up for the summer.
As Easter approached, boys learned about the story of Easter and in particular where Easter eggs come from.
After a game of Easter-themed bingo we also made our own Easter biscuits, complete with green icing, jammie dodgers for Jesus’ tomb and mini eggs for the stone. Some of the biscuits even made it home before boys had a chance to eat them all.
We now only have a handful of meetings left before we draw the Anchor Boy session to a close with a short prizegiving ceremony on our final night of 8th May.
This will be a key moment as most of our boys will be taking the step up to join Junior Section at the beginning of next session, meaning we will have plenty of room for new faces when we return in September.
Before then, we’ll also have our end-of-session day trip, which we hope to confirm details of very soon.
