Junior Section – Summer 2026

Another busy and successful session came to a close as the Junior Section joined the Company Section for our Annual Inspection and Display on May 15.

The evening gave the boys a chance to showcase some of the activities they have enjoyed throughout the year, including an impressive figure marching routine set to Taylor Swift’s Opalite. The audience also joined in with some of our usual interactive games, adding plenty of fun to the night.

The evening concluded with our prizegiving ceremony, recognising a number of boys for their achievements across the session. Perfect attendance awards were presented to Ethan, Craig and Callum, while special mentions go to Callum, who received the Sport Award, and Forbes, winner of the Drill Award.

Ethan received the overall Best Boy Award, while Group One – led by Craig alongside Ethan, Ronan, Elijah and Aaron – was named Best Group for the session.

Congratulations to all the boys who received awards, and sincere thanks to members of the congregation who came along to support them. It was greatly appreciated by everyone involved.

The following day, the Anchor Boys and Junior Section enjoyed their annual trip to Almond Valley Heritage Centre. The boys had a fantastic time exploring the animal enclosures, riding the miniature railway and making the most of both the outdoor play areas and indoor soft play.

We now look forward to a well-earned summer break before returning for Session 2026–2027 on Friday 4 September at 6.30pm in the large hall. Boys in P4, P5 and P6 are warmly invited to come along. More details are available at www.130thglasgow.co.uk.
