It’s shaping up to be a busy second half of the session for our Company Section with a great deal happening during January and beyond.
Last Sunday, three of our boys attended a Skills for King’s Badge course offered by Glasgow Battalion which focuses on topics such as leadership and communication. It’s one of the first requirements for the boys who are looking to earn the highest award in the Brigade.
The latter part of January also saw the Company hosting its annual Burns Supper. With plenty of food and drink on hand, it is always an evening in which boys take the lead through a mixture of music, poetry and song, with participation counting towards the Company’s awards programme as we learn about our national bard.
At the very end of the month, we’ll be welcoming two other local companies to the church for the Big Battalion Quiz, which will see teams of boys across Glasgow at various venues answering the same set of questions to see whose general knowledge is up to scratch.
Next month, activities are set to include go-karting, badminton and tenpin bowling amongst others.
