Company Section has enjoyed an eventful summer with boys enjoying a couple of gatherings since the end of last session.
On a sunny Sunday in June we paid a visit to Foxlake Adventure in Dunbar where boys donned wet suits and buoyancy aids before having a go on the giant inflatable water park, followed by a go on the ringos, being pulled along the water by cable at speed on a giant rubber ring.
More fun on the water followed at Summer Camp at Lagganlia Outdoor Centre in the Cairngorms near Aviemore earlier in August.
During an action-packed three days, boys tried out tree climbing, gorge walking, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus games of football and rounders.
Now we’re looking ahead to the new session, with Company Section resuming on Friday, 4 September.
Normal activities include sports, games, badge work, bugle band, drill, vaulting and a large number of competitions with other local companies as well as our own Company outings.
We expect numbers to remain roughly the same as last session, but any boy between the school ages of P7 and S6 will be made most welcome.
