During February, Anchor Boys have taken part in a number of different activities covering a host of interesting topics.
Early in the month, boys heard the story of Jesus and the miraculous catch of fish, with themed games including using our giant parachute to simulate being out at sea.
The next week, frogs were the theme, with boys learning a whole array of frog facts. For example, not even the leaders were aware that frogs can absorb water through their skin, and that some frogs live underground.
With the following Friday falling just before St Valentine’s Day, it was the perfect opportunity for activities including Valentine’s-themed bingo and boys making their own origami-style Valentine’s Day card.
Most recently, boys marked Shrove Tuesday by decorating pancakes to take home with them, and hearing the story of Jesus spending 40 days in the desert.
