Anchor Section – December 2022 / January 2023

Friday evenings continue to be extremely busy for Anchor Boys with around 20 boys attending each week.

Our Halloween fancy dress party at the end of October was great fun with boys sporting all manner of scary costumes and taking part in a host of traditional games from pass the parcel and musical chairs to the welcome return of dooking for apples.

Since then, our Friday evenings have had various themes from marking bonfire night by hearing the story of Guy Fawkes and having fun with some sparklers to celebrating autumn by making leafy hedgehogs, looking at the weather and having a go at forecasting.

And a special well done go to all the Anchor Boys who took part in the Remembrance Sunday service and Church Parade earlier in the month.

It’s always an important occasion for the Company, as not only do Anchor Boys enjoy marching but it’s a welcome to chance to bring all three age groups together.

We’re now looking forward to the final few weeks of the year with the Christmas holidays not far away.
