The new Anchor Boy session is now underway, and with only one boy having been promoted to Junior Section over the summer, it looks like we’ll be in for a busy year.
Our first meeting of the session saw 19 boys in attendance, with the potential for one or two more to join in the coming weeks. We were pleased to welcome some new faces as well as seeing all of our members from last year return.
The first evening saw boys taking part in some ice breaker activities to get to know our newer members. As it came only 24 hours after the death of HM The Queen, we spent some time talking about her role as Patron of The Boys’ Brigade.
In the coming weeks, we’ll have a range of different activities for boys to take part in. Just before the September Weekend, we had a fun evening themed around emojis, and as we head towards October we’ll be looking at parables such as The Sower and the Seed.
