Company Section has welcomed boys back for the beginning of the new session with a lot planned over the coming months.
The opening couple of weeks have seen boys taking part in a range of sports and activities.
Our first night featured a Taskmaster theme, with boys taking on a range of challenges in teams including knocking down a pyramid of paper cups using a range of household implements, and trying to draw the “second longest snake” on a roll of toilet paper.
The District five-a-side football competition was help at Scotstoun Leisure Centre the following week, with our junior team finishing in third place on a fun evening.
Most recently, boys took part in the Great BB Bake-Off, with the entire Company Section trying their hand at making banana bread. The clean-up took longer than the baking did but a good few of the end results looked almost good enough to eat.
As we look ahead, there are plans for boys to try out some new activities including golf, we’ll be continuing work on our Bugle Band, and a and a number of boys will be commencing or continuing work towards earning the Brigade’s most advanced awards, the President’s Badge and the King’s Badge.
