Company Section has enjoyed an eventful summer with boys enjoying a couple of gatherings since the end of last session.
On a sunny Saturday in June we visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach with boys taking full advantage of the good weather and trying out pretty much every ride in the park.
Then in August we had our Summer Camp, with boys staying at the Sir Arthur Grant Outdoor Centre near Monymusk in Aberdeenshire.
During an action-packed three days boys tried out all manner of activities including climbing, paddleboarding, go-karting, rifle shooting and segway driving, mixed in with games of football and rounders, plus marshmallows by the camp fire.
Now we’re looking ahead to the start of the new session, with our enrolment evening for 2025-26 taking place in the large hall on Friday, 29 August from 6.30pm onwards.
Normal activities include sports, games, badge work, bugle band, drill, vaulting and a large number of competitions with other local companies as well as our own Company outings.
We expect numbers to remain roughly the same as last session, but any boy between the school ages of P7 and S6 will be made most welcome.
