February has been a busy month for Company Section boys with a range of competitions and activities alongside plans being made for future events.
Early in the month, our Company organised the District Laser Quest Competition, with more than 50 boys from ours and neighbouring companies taking part. A good time was had by all but we didn’t take home any medals so boys will need to work on their sharpshooting for next time around!
We were pleased to confirm details in recent weeks for Summer Camp 2023. We’ll be visiting the Lagganlia Outdoor Centre near Aviemore from 11-13 August. This will be our first residential trip since 2019 so we hope to have a good number of boys attending.
The competitions continued at the end of February with the District Badminton Competition taking place at Scotstoun Leisure Centre.
We’re also looking forward to the next Service for Uniformed Organisations which takes place on Sunday, 12 March. Our Bugle Band is currently practising hard for the occasion in the hope of some dry weather for the march past.
