Thanks go to everyone who attended the Remembrance Sunday service and Church Parade earlier this month.
Not only did we welcome the chance to share in morning worship, but we were pleased that some dry and sunny weather gave us the chance for a march past given the inclement weather of recent weeks.
Leading up to the parade, practising with the Bugle Band has been a key focus of our Friday evenings but there have been a range of other activities as well which boys have enjoyed taking part in.
For example, one recent theme was giant board games, and having two halls in the church allowed us to split into two teams and take part in a game of a giant battleships with grids marked out on the hall floor.
Recent weeks has also brought some good news with two of our younger leaders, Nathan Alexander and Scott McCormick, completing their Youth Leader Training with Glasgow Battalion.
The Kirk Session has now agreed to appoint Nathan and Scott to the rank of Lieutenant, and we congratulate them both on their achievement.
