Company Section met for the first time in early-September with 15 boys joining for the new session.
We welcomed three new members – Jamie Allan, Harvey Furlong and Duncan Gillatt – having been promoted from Junior Section at the end of last session, as well as welcoming back a lot of familiar faces. We also spent some reflecting on the death of HM The Queen.
There will be a few changes to Company Section this year – boys just starting will be the first to adopt a new badge structure introduced by the Brigade recently – although all boys in the Company will be taking part in the activities.
We’re also looking forward to returning to some regular competitions against other local companies which have been on hiatus for the last two years. This will begin with the District Five-a-side Football in early October.
At the same time, many of the familiar BB activities will remain in place. In particular, our Bugle Band remains a priority, giving boys the chance to play in band by learning either the bugle or the drums. We’ll also have the usual mix of sports and games plus some new games to try.
