As February got under way, a number of boys took part in the District Tenpin Bowling Competition at XSite in Braehead. The challenge for Company Section boys is that there’s no bumpers to keep their scores up, but that didn’t stop Jamie Allan bringing home a bronze medal in the intermediate age group.
The month also saw boys take part in the District Masterteam Quiz against other local companies, but this quiz has a difference in that boys compete against each other remotely using an online quiz app, seeing who can record the most correct answers in the fastest time – we’ll find out the winners later in the session!
Always keen to try new activities, we’ve also purchased some new darts equipment allowing boys to play their own tournament on a Friday evening. Our church officer will be pleased to learn the dart boards are free-standing and so the walls should escape unharmed!
The Bugle Band continues to work hard ahead of the next Service for Uniformed Organisations on 23 March, and we’d ask everyone to note that our 117th Annual Inspection and Display, will be held in the large hall on Friday, 16 May.
