Thanks go to everyone who attended the Remembrance Sunday Service and Church Parade earlier in November.
This is always a key occasion in our calendar, and with Company Section having swelled its ranks this session, we were pleased the weather stayed dry as it allowed a large number of boys to play the bugle or the drums at a parade for the first time.
Younger boys are in the early stages of learning but did a great job which bodes well for when they gain more experience.
It was also a first for one of our leaders, Nathan Alexander, who played Last Post and Reveille either side of the two minutes’ silence.
The following day, 10 Company Section boys were amongst more than 50 from across Partick District who took part in the District Laser Quest Competition, with a special mention going to Jamie Allan who took home the bronze medal in the intermediate age group.
There’s one more competition before Christmas when we host the District Drill Competition at the end of November, and we’ll mark the end of the year with our Christmas Party on December 20th.
