Anchor Boys have enjoyed a range of activities in the last few weeks across a number of different themes.
Right at the start of the month we hosted our Halloween fancy dress party with boys sporting all manner of scary costumes and taking part in a host of traditional games from pass the parcel and musical chairs to dooking for apples.
That was followed by a fireworks-themed evening to mark bonfire night, with boys making their own paper fireworks before venturing outside to enjoy some sparklers.
We very much welcomed the chance to the join the older sections for the Remembrance Sunday Church Parade and in particular the march past at the end of the service.
Vegetables was the theme the following week, giving us a chance to hear the parable of the sower and the seed, learn what vegetables grow above ground or under ground, and even seeing who could identify vegetables by touch when blindfolded.
There’s plenty planned between now and the festive season, including a tubing trip to Bearsden Ski Centre and the pantomime at the King’s Theatre, before we end the year with our Christmas Party on 20 December.
