The new Anchor Boy session is now well underway, with boys taking part in a varied range of activities at our Friday night meetings.
With a large number of boys having been promoted to Junior Section at the end of last session, we’ve been delighted to welcome some new faces, and boys are settling in well.
After an opening night featuring a series of different games, the following week saw us looking at how rainbows are made and learning about light refraction, including a “disappearing colours” experiment putting what we learned into action.
The next week had a pirate theme, with boys going on a treasure hunt finding gold coins around the church, lobbing cannonballs at each other’s pirate ships and making their own pirate fridge magnets.
We’ll have plenty more activities planned as we enter October, and there’s still room for more newcomers should any other boys wish to join us.
