We are now into the final few weeks of the Anchor Boys session having resumed after the Easter holidays.
Our first Friday back was themed around rain, given how much we’ve had in recent weeks. Boys learned the story of Jesus and Peter walking on water, they tried their own raincloud experiment using water and shaving foam, and enjoyed a game using symbols on a weather map.
Hopefully the weather will be better next month as our end-of-session day-trip this year will be to Blair Drummond Safari Park. Boys are already excited about the trip and we’re expecting a good turnout.
We’ll be exploring different themes in future weeks and we’ll bring the session to a close with a short prizegiving ceremony on 10 May where we’ll recognise the achievements of boys over the course of the year.
In particular, we’ll also be promoting a large number of boys to Junior Section. This means we’ll have plenty of room for new members as we enter 2024-25 but in the meantime we’ll recharge our batteries over the summer.
