Thanks go to everyone who attended the Service for Uniformed Organisations in mid-March.
It was a welcome opportunity to bring all three sections of the Company together and share in morning worship, and we were pleased given the recent weather that it stayed dry for the march past.
There have been plenty of other activities happening in recent weeks including district competitions against other local companies. Congratulations to Duncan Gillatt who brought home a silver medal in the junior age group at the District Badminton Competition at Scotstoun.
All Company Section boys also took part in an online quiz recently in which they compete against other teams across the District. We’ll find out the results after the Easter holidays.
March also saw our most senior boy, Angus Happell, spend a weekend at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre for his Queen’s Badge Residential Course where he was one of around 50 boys from across Glasgow and beyond completing one of the final elements ahead of gaining his award.
Angus will be presented with his Queen’s Badge at our 116th Annual Inspection and Display, which will take place in the large hall on Friday, May 17th beginning at 7:00pm.
Once we return from the Easter holidays, preparing for the display will be our main focus, and we look forward to welcoming as many people as possible on the evening.
