Our 2021/2022 session formally came to an end with a successful annual awards ceremony jointly held with our Anchor and Company Sections in the church in mid-May.
Congratulations go to all the boys who went home with awards with special mentions for Callum Venturi who won the figure marching award and Struan Maxwell who collected the overall Best Boy award. The best group award for the session went to Group Two led by Duncan Gillatt alongside Matthew Casey, Fraser McQueen and Harris Miller.
Jamie Allan, Duncan Gillatt, Harvey Furlong and Callum Venturi were also promoted to Company Section and we wish them well as they begin the next stage of their time within The Boys’ Brigade.
We were also delighted to be able to hold our annual trip with Anchor Boys for the first time since 2019, this year to Heads of Ayr Farm Park. We had a great day visiting various enclosures and play areas and everyone went home suitably tired!
We will now be enjoying a relaxing summer break before beginning Session 2022-2023 on Friday 2nd September from 6.30pm in the large hall. Any boy in P4, P5 and P6 is welcome to come along for more details on joining the section or alternatively, visit www.130thglasgow.co.uk for further information.
