About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Junior Section May 2017

After a fortnight off for the Easter holidays, Junior Section has resumed and everyone is looking forward to the final weeks of the session.

We are now continuing preparations for our Annual Inspection & Display, putting the finishing touches to the elements we will take part in on the night. As always, all friends of the Company are warmly invited to the display which is jointly held with Company Section and takes place in the large hall on Friday 12th May at 7.00pm.

One of the items that the boys will showcase is their figure marching routine, and this follows on from their win in the District competition in late March. Competing against three other sections from the west end, the section did exceptionally well to retain the trophy once again. Well done to all the boys involved.

Finally, our Annual Trip is held the day after our display, with Junior Section accompanying Anchor Boys to Almond Valley Heritage Centre in Livingston. It is three years since our last visit so we are looking forward to touring the various enclosures and attractions.
