About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Anchor Boys 2017

We met twice in October so far and looked at the story of Noah and our games and crafts have been based on this familiar and well loved Old Testament story.

We are delighted to have a new helper this session. Lois Craig has settled in quickly and is proving to be a great asset. Her older brother Luke recently went through all three sections of the Boys' Brigade so she is very familiar with the structure and objectives of the organisation. We have been playing a lot of games and Lois has introduced us to some new parachute games which the boys have played with great enthusiasm.

At the end of October is our annual fancy dress party. It is always a challenging time for the leaders to recognise the boys when they are disguised by their costumes!

We are still able to welcome and enrol new boys into the section and any interested boy in Primary 1, 2 or 3 is invited to join us on Friday evenings from 6.30 to 7.30 pm in the Small Hall.
