About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Anchor Boys February 2017

We have now started the second half of our Anchor Boy Year. It was interesting to hear about their Christmas gifts and Lego is still a top favourite. This year we have a new topic, namely looking at popular stories and seeing some Christian messages within them.

We started off with Toy Story and looking at the relationship be-tween Woody and Buzz Lightyear. We were able to talk about love and jealousy and how God's love is constant and doesn't change.

Last week we looked at Peter Rabbit. Lots to talk about there including disobeying his mother, stealing carrots and eating too much! Earlier in the year we had a topic on the Ten Commandments and it was a good opportunity to remind the boys about obeying their parents.

We are going to continue this theme with a Thomas the Tank night.

We shall soon start our annual fund raising for the S.L.A.T.E. charity and the boys are busy working towards their achievement badges.
